T & N was originally started by Tommy & Nancy Shields in 1979. Tommy was originally a custom home builder and he found the insulation companies unsatisfactory for his Homes. The insulators he dealt with did not want to put the batts in the way they should nor to instructions and not to his satisfaction.

He then decided to start his own insulation company, and very soon after that the building community started asking him to insulate for them. He then realized the opportunity and started doing insulation.

He for many years kept the company on the cutting edge of insulating homes correctly. They for many years did the blown wall system because it was right for the customer. Tommy went into the Pro Pink blown wall system in 2001 certified by OC.

They ran and made the company very successful until August of 2007 when Troy Cunningham bought into the company. The first year of Troy owning the business was really a learning experience for him in owning a business.

Troy was able to bring in some select manufactures that we found valuable to our customer base. This is and will always be a huge thanks to Tommy & Nancy they are the reason for T & N providing the service and quality you want and are accustom to. We will always provide you the builder, home owner, and any customer the best in insulation and, air sealing that is available.

This is now allowing the business to grow and get better for our customers. We are now in Kerrville, San Antonio, Austin, Del Rio, Eagle Pass, Uvalde, Junction and many more cities across south TX.

We all have one simple goal at T & N to provide our customer an excellent product at an affordable price for what they receive. We pride ourselves on quality work and have many customers over the last 24 years that agree there are several of our more recent letters here on our website. We do admit that we like everyone we can't be perfect every time but we always make it right.

T & N Insulation is also an air sealing expert contractor, due to the fire hazards and the dangers to our employees we recommend air sealing a home over spay foam.

We do believe in air sealing a home and can do it very effectively and save you up front money.

We have been certified by  ocenergycomplete.com  and knaufusa.com  to air seal homes in a safe enough way that the owner of the company would have his 6 year old son on the job site when being installed. We are concerned about the safety of our family the same as our customers.
